Job summary

Vantive is seeking a Category Manager - HR Services to own end‑to‑end responsibility for a global HR procurement category. The role operates as a subject matter expert, leading critical initiatives, managing risk and complexity, and delivering material business impact.

This role does not include formal people management but may lead cross‑functional teams and initiatives across the organization, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• This role requires 10–12+ years of progressive procurement experience with HR/Professional Services focus.
• Candidates should demonstrate global or complex category management experience.
• Strong business judgement and risk management capabilities are essential.

Your Role

The Category Manager - HR Services owns end‑to‑end responsibility for a global HR procurement category. The role operates as a recognized subject matter expert, leading critical initiatives, managing elevated risk and complexity, and delivering material business impact. This role does not include formal people‑management responsibilities but may lead cross‑functional teams and initiatives.

• Own, evolve, and execute global HR category or HR project strategies
• Lead high‑value, high‑risk, or complex sourcing and contracting initiativesServe as the global SME and escalation point for critical issues

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
• 10–12+ years of progressive procurement experience with significant experience spent supporting HR/Professional Services Procurement
• Demonstrated success managing global or complex categories
• Strong commercial judgment and risk management capability
• Ability to lead without authority in matrixed organizations
• This role may require occasional domestic or international travel

The estimated base salary for this position is $108,000 to $130,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
