Job summary

Hydro-Dyne Engineering in Clearwater, FL is seeking a detail-oriented Procurement Buyer I to support day-to-day purchasing, supplier coordination, PO management, and onboarding. You will partner with engineering, operations, and planning to ensure timely material availability for wastewater equipment manufacturing.

Responsibilities include creating and tracking purchase orders, monitoring supplier acknowledgements and deliveries, coordinating with ERP data, and assisting with price negotiations

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, engineering, or related field, or equivalent purchasing experience.
• 1–3 years of purchasing, procurement, manufacturing, or supply chain experience.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and standard business software.

Responsibilities

• Create, issue, and manage purchase orders in accordance with production schedules and project requirements.
• Monitor supplier acknowledgements, shipment status, and on-time delivery performance.
• Assist with supplier onboarding activities including documentation collection, compliance verification, and ERP setup.
• Coordinate with engineering and operations teams regarding specifications, lead times, and material requirements.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, pricing data, and supplier information within ERP systems.
• Support supplier communication regarding delivery updates, order discrepancies, and invoice issues.
• Participate in routine price negotiations for standard materials and services.
• Escalate supplier delivery or quality concerns to senior procurement staff when appropriate.
• Support inventory optimization and material availability initiatives.
• Ensure purchasing activities comply with company policies and procedures.
