Job summary

Hydrotech is seeking a Purchasing & Materials Planning Manager to lead and develop our purchasing team, ensuring material availability to support customer requirements and manufacturing objectives.

Responsibilities include driving an ERP-driven MRP approach, owning lead times and safety stock, and collaborating with Sales, Engineering, Project Management, and Finance to translate demand into actionable supply plans. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive purchasing/procurement/materials planning experience.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop purchasing teams.
• Strong knowledge of MRP principles and ERP-driven planning and purchasing processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop the Purchasing team to build professional procurement and materials management capabilities.
• Own ERP planning parameters including lead times, safety stock, reorder policies, and calendars.
• Translate demand and forecasts into actionable supply requirements across functions.
• Drive proactive material management to address shortages, demand changes, and capacity constraints.
• Collaborate across Sales, Engineering, Project Management, and Customer Service to support SIOP planning.
• Monitor material availability and inventory health while balancing service and working capital.
