Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a procurement professional in Brownsville, TX to support the Rio Grande LNG project. You will form bid packages, issue bid requests, and prepare purchase orders under limited supervision to meet project needs and supplier performance.

Responsibilities include coordinating with Engineering for material requisitions, reviewing supplier proposals, and ensuring contract compliance. This role requires collaboration with Engineering, Construction and Project Management teams across

Qualifications

• Knowledge of business administration procedures, techniques and ethics.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Experience with materials handling on job sites is desirable.
• Light supervision during purchasing activities.
• Prepares and organizes procurement meetings for clear agreements.
• Familiar with Uniform Commercial Code or host nation rules.
• Excellent collaboration with Engineering, Construction and Project Management teams.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with Engineering to assist in material requisitions and procurement.
• Forms bid packages and issues bid requests; coordinates bidder questions and proposals.
• Prepares Commercial Bid Summary and recommendations to award.
• Prepares and commits purchase orders within authority.
• Communicates with suppliers and Bechtel to ensure clear requirements and supplier performance.
• Identifies and secures agreement on PO changes.
