Job summary

Bechtel is partnering with NextDecade to support the Rio Grande LNG project in Brownsville, Texas. This role focuses on subcontract formation and administration, ensuring alignment with project requirements and effective management of bid packages and contracts.

The candidate will lead negotiations on small-value subcontracts, develop and issue subcontract documents, and maintain reporting for continuing progress and compliance within the Bechtel system.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of procurement regulations, policies and practices.
• Knowledge and experience in pricing, contract law, negotiations and accounting.
• Working knowledge of engineering/construction industry contracting practices and Bechtel policies, procedures and work practices.
• Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
• Experience in developing contract types, fee arrangements and contract terms.
• Experience in developing and recommending potential solutions to contractual problems to management.

Responsibilities

• Implements the Supply Chain Assignment Schedule and standard work processes for Subcontract Management.
• Gathers and compiles support data for document preparation and subcontract management.
• Assists Subcontract Manager in completing tasks per guidelines and systems.
• Monitors subcontract performance and investigates issues as assigned.
• Organizes meetings, presentations, and status reports; coordinates with Digital Supply Chain and automation tools.
• Prepares and maintains subcontract documents and status reporting.
