Job summary

Sealed Air Corporation in Ayer, MA is seeking a Jr. Buyer to manage day-to-day purchasing and support demand planning within our manufacturing facility.

You will create and track purchase orders, maintain supplier relationships, and monitor material availability to minimize disruptions. The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in purchasing or supply chain, proficiency with ERP/MRP systems like SAP, and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree required; experience may substitute.
• 1–3 years in purchasing, procurement, supply chain or related field.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Visual, or similar).
• Experience in manufacturing environments a plus.

Responsibilities

• Purchase materials, equipment, and components from approved suppliers.
• Create, manage, and track purchase orders to ensure timely delivery.
• Build and maintain supplier relationships while monitoring supplier performance.
• Plan material requirements and manage inventory levels using an ERP system.
• Assist with identifying potential supply chain risks.
• Coordinate supplier returns, non-conformance reports, and RMAs.
