Job summary

Sea Machines is seeking a detail‑oriented Supply Chain Associate in Boston to support day‑to‑day purchasing, inventory management, material planning, and supplier coordination. Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of purchasing, inventory management, supply chain, or manufacturing experience.
  • Strong communication, attention to detail, and collaboration with internal teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and familiarity with ERP/MRP systems.

Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day purchasing, inventory management, material planning, and supplier coordination activities.
  • Prepare and process purchase orders, request quotes, and compare pricing, lead times and availability.
  • Follow up with suppliers on order acknowledgments, delivery dates, backorders and overdue materials.
  • Maintain accurate supplier, part, pricing, inventory, and purchasing records in the company's systems.
  • Track open purchase orders and communicate shortages, delays, and schedule risks.
  • Coordinate with Logistics Operations to track inbound/outbound shipments and status.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, finance and other teams to resolve material issues.
  • Support inventory replenishment, supplier performance tracking, and cost-control efforts.
