Job summary

CLS Health is seeking a Procurement Associate to support sourcing, negotiating, and procuring goods and services for a growing Houston-based healthcare system. You will partner with finance, logistics, and operations to ensure accurate specifications, timely deliveries, and compliant purchasing.

You will work with supply chain and procurement software, excel, and ERP tools, while contributing to cost reductions and process improvements in a fast-paced team environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.
  • Experience in purchasing, procurement or supply chain management advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; exposure to procurement software or ERP is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team.

Responsibilities

  • Identify potential suppliers and vendors for goods and services.
  • Conduct research to evaluate suppliers' reliability, pricing, and quality.
  • Maintain relationships with existing suppliers and negotiate terms/pricing.
  • Seek opportunities to optimize procurement processes and reduce costs.
  • Assist in creation, processing, and tracking of purchase orders.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate specifications and quantities.
  • Monitor purchase orders for timely delivery and resolve discrepancies.
  • Assist in maintaining inventory records and monitoring stock levels.
  • Collaborate with inventory management to forecast demand and stock
  • Coordinate with suppliers to manage lead times and inventory turnover.
  • Maintain organized records of purchase orders, contracts, and vendor agreements.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and internal policies.
  • Prepare reports and analyses related to purchasing activities as required
  • Liaise with finance, logistics, and operations to align on purchasing needs
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve issues promptly
  • Collaborate with team to streamline purchasing processes and improve efficiency
  • Travel to other CLS Health clinics as needed
  • Perform other duties assigned

Job Summary:

As a Procurement Associate, you will play a crucial role in supporting the procurement process within our organization. You will be responsible for assisting the purchasing department in sourcing, negotiating, and procuring goods and services necessary for our operations. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within a team.

  • Monitor purchase orders to ensure timely delivery and resolve any discrepancies or issues that may arise.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records and monitoring stock levels.
  • Collaborate with the inventory management team to forecast demand and ensure adequate stock levels.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to manage lead times and optimize inventory turnover.
  • Maintain organized records of purchase orders, contracts, and vendor agreements.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, and experience with procurement software or ERP systems is a plus.
