Job summary

The position offers a full-time schedule, with some flexibility, and a pay rate of $17 per hour. Office-based with potential travel to supplier locations may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of supply chain experience.
• Data entry skills are essential.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Self-motivated and able to complete daily responsibilities on time.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with PeopleSoft preferred.
• General business knowledge.
• Purchasing experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a dynamic or stressful environment.
• Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
• Spanish language ability is desired.
• Experience using PeopleSoft and MS Office Suite preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify stock and non-stock items in PeopleSoft for quotation.
• Contact suppliers via email or phone to obtain pricing and lead times; negotiate discounts.
• Format RFQs for comparison and cost-savings analysis.
• Assist with resolving and following up on supply problems.
• Assist with placing orders with various suppliers.
• Support purchasing activities, including preparation, analysis, and review of sourcing decisions and short-term purchasing agreements.
