Job summary

UC Irvine is seeking a Procurement Analyst to perform purchasing assignments of moderate complexity, analyzing options and documenting decisions. You will operate under supervision, with authority to purchase within pre-approved limits and to guide departmental reimbursements and disbursements.

The role requires evaluating vendors, obtaining quotes, negotiating terms for orders under $5000, and coordinating with Purchasing and Risk Services for larger orders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 1-3 years of related work experience preferred.
• Ability to analyze purchasing options for cost and quality.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google software and Adobe.
• Knowledge of purchasing policies and contract guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Analyze procurement options and complete moderate-complexity purchasing assignments.
• Exercise purchasing authority within pre-approved dollar limits.
• Coordinate with Purchasing and Accounting for reimbursements and disbursements.
• Identify potential vendors and obtain quotations; evaluate proposals.
• Negotiate terms for orders under $5000 and coordinate with risk services for larger orders.
• Maintain accurate supporting documentation per campus guidelines.
