Job summary

Oregon Public Defense Commission (OPDC) seeks a detail-oriented Procurement Analyst to join our procurement team in Salem, OR. You will plan and manage procurements, develop contract documents, and ensure compliance with laws and internal policies.

This role emphasizes collaboration across agency staff and external partners to strengthen operations and stewardship of public funds. The Procurement Analyst will lead procurement efforts, provide guidance on policy, and support contract management

Qualifications

• Experience with procurement communications, contract management systems, and the procurement lifecycle.
• Ability to develop, evaluate, and negotiate contracts and amendments.
• Strong documentation, data entry, and policy compliance skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and manage procurements including RFPs, ITBs, and direct awards.
• Define scopes of work and craft contract terms with legal reviews.
• Lead evaluation processes and issue award notifications.
• Negotiate terms and mitigate performance risk.
• Provide staff training on procurement policies and ensure records compliance.
