Job summary

Crane Worldwide Logistics LLC is seeking an experienced procurement professional to manage supplier relations and drive cost efficiencies within a logistics environment. The role includes issuing RFQs/RFPs, evaluating quotations, and ensuring accurate pricing, terms, and specifications.

You will collaborate with operations to understand material needs, monitor supplier performance, and support cost-reduction initiatives through bidding and negotiation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • 3–6 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain.
  • Experience in logistics, transportation, warehousing, or 3PL environment preferred.
  • Experience using ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Coupa, or similar P2P platforms).

Responsibilities

  • Issue RFQs/RFPs for assigned categories and evaluate supplier quotations.
  • Ensure accuracy of pricing, delivery terms, and specifications.
  • Expedite orders to meet operational timelines.
  • Maintain and develop supplier relationships.
  • Monitor supplier performance related to cost, quality, and on-time delivery.
  • Resolve invoice discrepancies and delivery issues.
  • Support cost reduction initiatives through competitive bidding and negotiation.
  • Conduct price benchmarking and total cost analysis.
  • Partner with operations teams to understand material/service requirements.
  • Analyze spend data to identify trends and sourcing opportunities.
  • Track market trends, supply risks, and cost drivers to support informed purchasing decisions
  • Support inventory management efforts to prevent shortages or excess stock
  • Other duties as assigned

Job description

Physical Requirements

  • Talking, hearing and using hands to operate a computer keyboard, mouse and other computer components
  • Sitting for extended periods of time
  • Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus
  • Attendance and presence at work-site is an expectation

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • 3–6 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain.
  • Experience in logistics, transportation, warehousing, or 3PL environment preferred.
  • Experience using ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Coupa, or similar P2P platforms).

CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES

  • Professional certification may be required in some areas.
