Job description

Summary Coordinates the procurement and distribution of materials, parts, equipment, and supplies for the organization by performing the following duties. Helps to establish and support adherence to certain purchasing guidelines based on the strategies and goals outlined by the Procurement department. Compose RFIs or RFPs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Coordinates all activities related to procurement of a commodity beginning with intent to purchase through delivery.

Analyzes the requirements of the commodity, including preliminary specifications, preferred supplier, and date commodity is needed.

Solicits and evaluates proposals for the requested commodity.

Investigates and/or interviews potential suppliers to determine if they meet the specified requirements.

Advises team members or management on the appropriate supplier to be used.

Negotiates the lowest possible cost for the commodity balanced against the optimum quality and schedule needs.

Implements purchase contracts that comply with company and government regulations.

Assures that the commodity is delivered on schedule, at the negotiated price, and meets the quality standards of the company.

Maintains timely control of orders, amendments, shipping notices, and other documents to assure accurate retention of records.

Coordinates appropriate methods needed to distribute commodity in a cost-effective manner.

Manages communications with several suppliers.

Maintains accurate records.

Detail-oriented and proactive.

Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.

Maintain procurement documentation for audits and internal controls.

Work closely with finance and warehouse teams to ensure smooth procurement-to-payment processes.

Monitor supplier performance and escalate issues as needed.

Perform general administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, and correspondence.

Other duties may be assigned.

Education and Experience Required

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university.

Three to five years previous experience in procurement, supply chain, or administrative support role.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.

Three to five years’ experience using an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.

Knowledge of procurement best practices and regulations is an advantage.

Preferred

Experience with SAP

Diploma or degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.

Fluency in Mandarin and English:

Able to Speak

Able to Read

Ability to translate from Mandarin to English

Ability to translate from English to Mandarin

Salary Range: $62,000 - $75,000/annually
