Job summary

The State of Connecticut, Department of Public Health, Regulatory Affairs Branch, is seeking a Processing Technician for the Practitioner Investigations unit in Hartford. The role involves handling clerical processing, complaint intake, and document management to support licensure and investigations of health care practitioners.

Ideal candidates have several years of clerical experience, strong communication skills, and are adept at maintaining filing systems and responding to inquiries.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of clerical work experience.
• One (1) year of the General Experience must have involved a full range of clerical duties.
• College training may be substituted for the General Experience on the basis of fifteen (15) semester hours equalling one-half (1/2) year of experience to a maximum of two (2) years.

Responsibilities

• Answer calls into the call center for Practitioner Investigations unit.
• Enter complaints into eLicense database and send required forms by mail or email.
• Prepare closing cases for offsite storage and destruction per policy.
• Assist in maintaining office procedures, filing and indexing systems.
