Job summary

Southside Market & BBQ is seeking a Processing Technician to operate and monitor processing lines, grind and blend raw materials, and manage weight records for smokehouse products. Role requires adherence to HACCP and sanitation standards, with focus on accuracy in batch documentation and safe handling of materials.

The candidate should have 1–2 years of food manufacturing experience and hold a Food Handler Certification.

Qualifications

• One to two years of food manufacturing experience preferred.
• Food Handler Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Completes all start-up and shut-down procedures for all processing areas.
• Grinds, blends, and final grinds all raw materials to be used in processing.
• Loads and unloads, cooks and records weights for smokehouse.
• Understands the procedures for hanging smoked meats.
• Weighs spices and water and documents on batch cards.
• Adheres to all HACCP requirements for all CCPs and completes forms.
• Washes, scrubs and sanitizes machines and areas per sanitation schedule.
• Observes safety and security standards.
