Job summary

Southside Processing LLC in Elgin, TX seeks a Processing Technician I to join the team. Under supervision, you will handle start-up/shut-down in processing areas, grind and blend raw materials, and manage weights for the smokehouse.

Daily tasks include operating grinders, recording batch data, and maintaining HACCP and sanitation standards. The role requires 1–2 years of food manufacturing experience and a Food Handler Certification.

Qualifications

• One to two years of food manufacturing experience preferred.
• Food Handler Certification required; assistance available to obtain.
• Ability to understand English for all job-related circumstances.
• Ability to add and subtract using whole numbers.
• Ability to solve practical problems with concrete variables.

Responsibilities

• Complete start-up and shut-down procedures for processing areas.
• Grind, blend, and finalize raw materials for processing.
• Load, cook, and record weights for the smokehouse.
• Document weights and batch data on batch cards.
• Operate Weiler grinder and mixer/blender daily.
• Adhere to HACCP requirements and sanitation schedules.
• Observe safety and security standards.
