- Applied Biologics, LLC, an AATB-accredited leader in tissue manufacturing, is seeking a dedicated Amniotic Membrane Processing Technician to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring the safe, efficient, and high-quality processing of amniotic membrane tissue for use in regenerative medicine and therapeutic applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, adherence to strict regulatory standards, and a commitment to advancing patient care through tissue processing excellence. Key Responsibilities: Tissue Processing: Perform precise processing, preparation, and preservation of amniotic membrane tissue in accordance with AATB standards, FDA regulations, and company SOPs. Cleanroom Operations: Conduct all processing activities in a controlled, sterile cleanroom environment, maintaining aseptic techniques to prevent contamination. Quality Control: Inspect and evaluate tissue for quality, integrity, and compliance with specifications. Document all processing steps accurately and thoroughly. Equipment Maintenance: Operate, clean, and maintain processing equipment, ensuring functionality and compliance with safety standards. Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to Good Tissue Practices (GTP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and other regulatory requirements. Participate in audits and inspections as needed. Documentation: Complete detailed batch records, logs, and reports to ensure traceability and compliance with AATB and company standards. Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory of supplies and reagents used in processing, ensuring availability and proper storage. Safety Protocols: Follow all safety and biohazard protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and handling of biological materials. Team Collaboration: Work closely with quality assurance, procurement, and distribution teams to ensure seamless operations and timely delivery of processed tissue. Qualifications: Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in biology, life sciences, or related field preferred. Experience: 1-2 years of experience in tissue processing, biologics manufacturing, or a cleanroom environment preferred. Experience with amniotic membrane processing is a plus. Skills: Strong understanding of aseptic techniques and cleanroom protocols. Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow complex SOPs. Proficient in documentation and record-keeping. Ability to work in a highly regulated environment with a focus on quality and compliance. Effective communication and teamwork skills. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, perform repetitive tasks, and lift up to 25 pounds. Must be comfortable working with human tissue and biological materials. Other: Must pass background check, as required for working with human tissue. Work Environment: Work is performed in a cleanroom environment requiring full-body gowning and adherence to strict contamination control protocols.
