Job summary

America’s Thrift Stores is seeking a Processing Supervisor to manage the daily activities of the production team, ensuring fast, accurate processing and quality control. You will train, coach, and set standards for donor experience and customer service in line with our core values.

Responsibilities include supervising the team, managing inventory, scheduling, and supporting promotions, while safeguarding assets and maintaining safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Two years of supervisory or lead experience in retail or industrial processing.
• Basic math, reading comprehension, and computer skills.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to coach, observe, and develop others effectively.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong decision-making with sound judgment.
• Background, motor vehicle, and drug screening will be completed.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct the daily activities of the production team.
• Manage inventory tracking to monitor deliveries and stock levels.
• Analyze inventory levels and anticipate shortages, taking proactive steps.
• Communicate targets and progress to team members.
• Assist in recruitment, onboarding, and training of team members.
• Schedule team members according to labor requirements.
• Capable of performing all tasks of processing team members.
• Coach and recognize team members for performance.
• Maintain standards of merchandise condition, pricing, and shop-ability.
• Support promotions and programs with sales and marketing efforts.
• Assist donors following company standards.
• Foster a respectful, values-driven workplace.
• Translate team feedback into action using open communication tools.
• Address complaints with supervisor escalation when needed.
• Safeguard assets and ensure secure handling and integrity.
• Promote loss prevention by upholding policies.
• Maintain safety per OSHA guidelines.
• In the absence of management, manage processes per policies.
• Make decisions when managers are unavailable.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
