America’s Thrift Stores is seeking an Assistant Manager, Processing to lead the flow of items from dock to floor, drive CTQ-based workflow, and ensure policy compliance. You will supervise staff, train teams, and partner with leadership to hit financial and operational targets.

The role requires a strong background in retail/distribution, excellent communication, and a proactive, data-driven mindset for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High-school diploma required; college degree preferred.
• 5–8 years in production, retail, logistics, or distribution.
• Training in ATS processing operations or employee policies.
• Experience in manufacturing, thrift, or distribution businesses.
• Past management experience including hiring and evaluations.
• Knowledge of work standards, capacity planning, and materials planning.
• Strong leadership, energy, and initiative.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; data-driven performance tracking.
• Able to pass background and drug screenings.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Oversee product flow from dock to sales floor.
• Develop, monitor, and improve workflow using CTQ metrics.
• Implement cost reduction strategies and lead a results-driven team.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards.
• Hire, train, and develop staff members.
• Maintain equipment using internal resources and approved vendors.
• Manage budgets, P&L, and financial reporting.
• Coordinate and ensure accuracy of cash deposits and transactions.
• Build relationships with the community to drive donations and support programs.
• Oversee merchandising and store presentation to enhance customer experience.
• Provide coaching and performance management to meet production standards.
• Partner with General Manager to meet financial and operational goals.
