Job summary

Oregon Freeze Dry is seeking a Processing Operator I for rotating 12-hour day shifts in Albany, OR. The role supports daily production on the processing floor by operating and maintaining equipment in a safe, efficient, and quality-driven environment. Relevant manufacturing experience preferred.

You will work with the maintenance team to minimize downtime and ensure quality in all records. The position requires strong teamwork, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn new processes.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in manufacturing, preferably in a regulated or GMP environment.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills for supporting peers.
• Ability to understand how machines work and recognize when something isn’t functioning properly.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
• Willingness to learn new processes and take on varied tasks.
• Understanding of workplace safety practices and ability to follow procedures to prevent accidents.
• Basic computer proficiency; including data entry, digital forms, or manufacturing software systems.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and adjust production equipment; perform changeovers, routine maintenance, and cleaning per SOPs.
• Coordinate operations team activities to ensure accuracy and production targets.
• Maintain smooth production flow and report equipment or process issues to minimize downtime.
• Maintain product quality with in-process checks and accurate documentation.
• Collaborate with Maintenance to address equipment concerns and minimize downtime.
• Participate in investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Exhibit professional behavior aligned with company policies and culture.
