Responsibilities

• Lead the Processing Team from loan origination through closing, including the management of workflows and team performance.
• Monitor the processing pipeline daily and ensure loans progress according to timelines.
• Identify bottlenecks and proactively resolve issues; coordinate daily pipeline meetings.
• Ensure documentation standards are followed; liaise between sales, underwriting, closing and other departments.
• Maintain compliance with internal and external guidelines from origination to close.

Cardinal Capital Group is hiring a Processing Manager in our Boston office.

The Processing Manager is responsible for pipeline and operational management, team leadership and compliance and risk management. We seek a resourceful, dynamic, pro-active and quality results-driven individual who is motivated to build a long-term career in private lending.

This highly visible and crucial role serves as liaison between the sales and processor teams. The ideal candidate will balance innovative techniques with our compliance standards and benchmarks.

The successful Processing Manager will make real-time decisions and coordinate efforts between sales, underwriting, credit, closing, legal, finance, asset management, draw administration and third-party vendors.

What You Will Do

Lead the Processing Team from loan origination through closing, including:

Operational and Team Leadership

• Manage and mentor loan processors.
• Conduct one-on-one meetings and performance reviews.
• Monitor employee productivity and quality.
• Coach processors on problem-solving and customer service.
• Develop and improve processing workflows.
• Ensure documentation standards are followed.

• Monitor the processing pipeline daily.
• Ensure loans are progressing according to company timelines.
• Identify bottlenecks and proactively resolve issues.
• Prioritize rush transactions and purchase closings.
• Coordinate daily pipeline meetings.

Compliance/Risk Management/Quality Control

Ensure compliance with internal and external guidelines and requirements from origination to close

What We're Looking For

Education & Experience

• Experience in mortgage origination, processing experience, closing experience, overall start to finish loan processing
• Experience managing and leading teams
• Experience in coaching performance
• Experience building metrics for benchmarking
• Software skills: Loan Origination Systems, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace
• Associates or bachelors' degrees preferred but not required
