Job summary

Versova in Platteville, CO is seeking a Processing Lead to oversee processing operations, Break Room, Tanker Bay, and assist Transfer Room activities. The role requires comprehensive knowledge of all plant positions to train, coach, and direct staff while maintaining production schedules and quality.

You will lead daily operations, perform hourly quality checks, ensure CIP readiness, and collaborate with USDA inspectors.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of leadership experience.
• 2+ years of food processing or equivalent experience.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to drive a shag truck and back in trailers.
• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs., twist, bend, and work in various climate conditions.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee processing operations.
• Perform, monitor, and document hourly quality checks.
• Coordinate morning equipment setup and end-of-run washdown procedures.
• Manage product flow to meet schedules and customer specifications.
• Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot Clean-in-Place (CIP) systems.
• Ensure equipment cleanliness and readiness for quality inspections.
• Fill in for all processing positions where needed.
• Train, coach, and direct employees across various plant positions.
• Collaborate with other departments to foster a unified team environment.
• Communicate effectively with USDA on-site inspectors, management, and quality control teams.
• Enforce and follow safety rules and policies.
• Assist with Transfer Room activities as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
