Optimax Systems, Inc. is seeking a Process Writer to document and release manufacturing processes for optical lenses, coordinating with Manufacturing Engineers and Sales to resolve part specifications and tolerances.

The role emphasizes on-the-job training, process writing updates, tooling assessment, and creating clear procedures to meet customer requirements, with opportunities for advancement in a dynamic, safety-conscious environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; AAS degree or higher preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret customer statements of work.
• Experience in optics manufacturing is a plus.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, Epicor Kinetic and internal company programs.
• Highly motivated, detail oriented, results-driven team player.
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Write and document manufacturing processes for lenses and optical parts.
• Review orders against process steps and create or adjust processes to meet customer requirements.
• Assess tooling needs and create work orders for new tooling if required.
• Release processes after manufacturing approval with Cell Leaders and engineers.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers and Sales to resolve part specs and tolerances.
• Maintain Process Creation documentation and support process releases.
