Job summary

Hargrove seeks a Process Engineer to support the design and optimization of chemical and industrial process utilities in our US operations. You will contribute to steam, water treatment, cooling, and piping systems, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient installations.

Ideal candidates have a BS/MS in engineering and 3+ years of process design experience in chemical, petroleum, or biochemical industries. Strong CAD skills and collaborative communication are essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor or Master degree in Chemical/Mechanical/Biochemical/Petroleum Engineering from an accredited university is required.
Professional Engineering registration or CPIP certification is highly preferred.
3+ years of relevant industrial experience in chemical, petroleum, or biochemical process design engineering.

Responsibilities

Monitor steam generation, water treatment, cooling towers, and compressed air systems.
Ensure environmental discharge parameters remain within limits.
Assist with upgrades for utility infrastructure from conceptual design through commissioning.
Promote safety concepts in process design.
Prepare design criteria, basis, and permitting considerations for project teams.
Provide guidance on scope changes and delegate work to engineers and designers.
Develop preliminary designs and material take-offs for estimates.
Produce designs focused on constructability, operability, and maintainability.
Review vendor information and fabrication drawings for conformance to drawings.
