Job summary

Lilly is seeking scientists and engineers to join the Process Translation and Execution team at the Lilly Medicines Foundry in Lebanon, IN. The role focuses on technology transfers from development to cGMP production, data-driven decision making, and continuous improvement across biologics and conjugates.

Initial location at Lilly Technology Center in Indianapolis and Parkwood West, with permanent site in Lebanon; travel limited.

Qualifications

• Education: BS, MS or PhD in Biology, Biochemistry, Biological Engineering, Chemical/Biochemical Engineering, or related disciplines.
• Experience: 15+ years with BS, 10+ with MS, or 4+ with PhD in Biologics/Drug Conjugates or related roles.

Responsibilities

• Oversee transfer of API/DS processes from development to Foundry with focus on purification and multiple modalities.
• Monitor manufacturing processes, analyze data, and write technical reports, protocols, and change controls.
• Support creation and review of batch records, process descriptions, and risk assessments per cGMP standards.
• Collaborate with Foundry, PRD/CMC to meet project goals and ensure product quality.
• Lead or assist investigations, assess deviations, and support CAPAs to maintain timelines.
• Provide scientific input during audits and on-floor support for critical operations; mentor junior staff.
• Apply scientific knowledge to troubleshoot production issues and drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to accelerate innovation and technology transfer.
