Job summary

DuPont’s Pencader site in Newark, DE seeks a Process Technology Engineer to lead technical initiatives for the Vespel business. You will partner with plant operations to optimize production, troubleshoot complex process issues, and drive continuous improvement to reduce losses and improve asset utilization.

You will apply advanced process technology, mentor operations staff, and collaborate with Process Control, Reliability, R&D, and site engineering to implement Lean, Six Sigma, and SPC,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
• 5+ years of manufacturing or process operations experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, SPC, or continuous improvement programs.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with plant operations to optimize production performance.
• Lead root cause investigations and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Drive material efficiency, yield improvement, and waste reduction.
• Coach operations personnel on process technology and problem-solving.
• Support implementation of Lean, Six Sigma, and SPC methodologies.
