Job summary

DuPont in Salisbury, NC is seeking an Operations Leader to manage a 20-person site team, drive safe, reliable, and efficient plant performance, and lead short-term troubleshooting and long-term improvements.

You will implement SOPs, lead Lean events, collaborate with R&D, support CAPEX projects, and ensure adherence to EH&S policies while guiding data-driven decision making and cross-functional communication.

Qualifications

• Requires a B.S. in Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of professional technical manufacturing experience.
• Strong technical, interpersonal, communication, and listening skills.
• Results oriented with problem-solving and organizational abilities.
• Excellent computer and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and perform data-based decision making.

Responsibilities

• Understand process technology, equipment, and control systems.
• Develop and ensure adherence to SOPs, best practices, and safety protocols.
• Troubleshoot quality and production issues to drive improvements.
• Lead Lean events, Kaizens, 5-Why investigations and structured problem solving.
• Ensure EH&S policies are implemented in the plant.
• Apply Process Control knowledge to maintain safe, reliable operations.
• Communicate technical information to plant personnel and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with R&D and tech experts to optimize performance.
• Supports and/or leads CAPEX projects from scope to start-up and training.
• Provide off-shift support for continuous operations.
