Job summary

SURTECO NORTH AMERICA INC is seeking a Process Technician to support Operations in a rotating shift schedule. The person will monitor production activities to ensure safety and quality, perform QC testing and documentation, troubleshoot process and quality issues, and manage samples.

This role is on a path to promotion to a supervisor within 2–3 years. No direct reports; the candidate will contribute to a culture of Safety and SHE standards and participate in continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Must be able to work as part of a team and independently in a high‑performance environment.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOP) consistently.
• Basic computer skills including Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Knowledge of rolled goods, printing, and/or continuous process manufacturing.
• Understanding of supply chain management from raw materials to finished goods.
• APICS CPIM/CFPIM or CSCP certification is a plus and supervisory experience is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Safety procedures and practices.
• Follow and maintain Quality Management System guidelines.
• Proactively manage quality on shift to minimize scrap and rework.
• Review and update QC testing and documentation for accuracy.
• Evaluate SPC for outliers or trends.
• Address deviations from specifications with corrective actions.
• Prepare customer samples.
• Apply Lean Six Sigma tools to improve KPI targets.
• Conduct safety and compliance audits.
• Identify opportunities for Safety, Quality, Cost, and Production improvements.
• Provide quality expertise to production supervisors as SME on shift.
• Assist production team with leadership support as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
