Job summary

Yoh Staffing is seeking a Process Technician for a NIGHT/WEEKEND shift contract in Austin, TX. The role involves preparing samples for TEM/FIB/SEM experiments, operating metrology tools, and performing routine maintenance on FIB/TEM systems.

Qualifications

• Experience with TEM/FIB/TEM sample prep procedures and basic knowledge of SEM/FIB/TEM principles.
• Ability to operate metrology tools in a lab setting and interpret cross-section/top-view CD measurements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare samples for experiments (coating, mounting/unmounting, job preparation) to evaluate process system performance.
• Prepare TEM lamella samples using FIB; optimize preparation procedures and identify cutting locations based on patterns.
• Operate metrology tools in FIB/TEM labs; understand CD measurements, image quality requirements, and optimize conditions under training.
• Perform SEM/FIB system maintenance (flash, plasma cleaning, image calibrations).
• Troubleshoot instruments, coordinate repairs and maintenance.

Process Technician-NIGHT/WEEKEND SHIFT

needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh Staffing’s client working in Austin, TX.

• Pay Rate: $30-35/hr
• ONSITE
• 12 Hr Night (5pm to 5am) Friday to Sunday

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Prepare samples for experiments, including sample coating, wafer cleaving, mounting/unmounting samples, and preparing jobs for experimentation to evaluate the performance of the process system.
• Prepare transmission electron microscope (TEM) lamella samples using focused ion beam (FIB), optimize sample preparation procedures and conditions, and identify cutting locations based on pattern instructions.
• Operate metrology tools in the FIB & TEM lab to understand cross-section or top-view critical dimensions (CD), identify patterns of interest, understand image quality requirements and sample/beam interactions to determine optimized conditions, and complete requested jobs under limited supervision after training.
• Understand the basic principles of scanning electron microscopy (SEM), focused ion beam (FIB), and transmission electron microscopy (TEM).
• Perform SEM/FIB system and routine maintenance procedures such as flash, plasma cleaning, and image calibrations.
• Perform routine troubleshoot procedures, identify problems, restart or standby the tool. Coordinate instrument repair and maintenance.
