Job summary

Knauf Insulation North America is seeking a skilled Process Technician to oversee shift Maintenance, Deck Operators, and Hot End Operators, ensuring maximum productivity and product quality. You will lead maintenance activities, optimize plant processes, and promote a culture of safety.

The role requires an Associate’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics Technology and at least 5 years in industrial manufacturing, with PLC programming and AC/DC drives knowledge.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics Technology preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• At least 5 years of maintenance experience troubleshooting pneumatics, hydraulics, and electro-mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct maintenance staff, Deck Operators, and Hot End Batch/Binder associates to ensure smooth operations.
• Monitor and optimize plant processes to achieve the highest production efficiencies and product quality.
• Troubleshoot complex maintenance issues involving pneumatics, hydraulics, and electro-mechanical systems.
• Allocate maintenance resources and prioritize tasks to address multiple issues effectively.
• Requisition parts and materials for plant operations and coordinate with contractors for repair assistance as needed.
• Communicate maintenance and process updates across shifts to ensure operational continuity.
• Monitor Key Process Variables and make necessary adjustments to maintain optimal performance.
• Assist in coordinating order changes and special projects as assigned by the Maintenance Manager or Manager of Process Engineering.
• Ensure all machines are set up for maximum efficiency and output.
• Promote and model safe work habits throughout the plant.
