Job summary

Suncast Corporation is seeking a Process Technician on 2nd or 3rd shift to operate multiple injection and blow molding machines and to meet safety, quality, and productivity standards in a hands-on setting. The role requires a strong technical orientation and the ability to process various materials into consistent finished products, with a manufacturing facility environment in Illinois.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of experience in this position.
• Knowledge of standard process control practices and mechanical principles.
• Ability to read safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and manuals; bilingual a plus.
• Ability to learn Windows-based programs and enter data into databases/spreadsheets.
• General supervision under standard practices; trades background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up injection and blow molding machines, molds, fixtures, and related equipment to meet safety, quality, and productivity standards.
• Communicate with managers and coworkers on quality, safety, and productivity issues.
• Coordinate with molding labor leadership to ensure machine and labor utilization.
• Recommend changes to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.
• Report machine and equipment malfunctions to support personnel.
• Provide training and guidance to the material handler assigned to presses.
• Stay informed of new technology, methods, and materials for this position.
• Learn in-house programs for BOM and shop order detail.
• Perform minor maintenance and setup functions to assist in job set ups.
• Pass a test for LOTO and follow all standard safety procedures.
• Support and practice all Suncast safety policies, quality standards, and housekeeping methods.
