Aptyx is seeking an Injection Molding Process Technician to oversee setup, operation, and optimization of molding processes in our Torrington manufacturing facility.

You will troubleshoot equipment and tooling, monitor product quality, and drive process improvements to reduce cycle times and waste. The role requires hands-on maintenance, documentation, and a commitment to safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification/training preferred in injection molding or related field.
• Proven experience as a process technician or similar in an injection molding environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with injection molding processes, equipment, and quality control standards.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Set up and adjust injection molding machines and equipment for production runs, configuring temperature, pressure, and cycle times.
• Diagnose and resolve issues with machines, molds, and processes to minimize downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and resolve issues with injection molding machines, molds, and processes to minimize downtime and production disruptions.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on machines and equipment, and coordinate with maintenance teams for major repairs.

• Monitor production runs to ensure products meet quality standards and specifications.
• Conduct regular inspections and measurements of molded parts, and implement corrective actions to address any defects or inconsistencies.

1. Process Improvement:

• Analyze production data and metrics to identify areas for improvement in the molding process.
• Implement process changes and enhancements to increase productivity, reduce waste, and improve product consistency.

• Maintain accurate records of process setups, adjustments, and production data.
• Prepare and submit reports on process performance, issues, and improvements.
