Job summary

Ventek Solutions in Shelbyville, KY is seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic for the 3rd shift to keep production lines running smoothly. You will report to the Maintenance Manager and perform tasks to ensure quality, safety, and timely shipping of Ventek products.

Ideal candidates have industrial maintenance experience, PLC troubleshooting skills, ability to read English, operate at 480V, and lift 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years industrial maintenance experience (mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic).
• 3 years PLC experience with Allen-Bradley 5000, Siemens, and Omron.
• Read and understand English instruction and policy.
• 480V 3-phase electrical experience.
• Experience with PLC troubleshooting and motor controls.
• Certification to operate material handler including scissor lift is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support Ventek’s quality and safety policies in all duties.
• Install and maintain auxiliary equipment as required by production.
• Maintain and repair utility and facility-related equipment as directed by the Plant Engineer.
• Assist/train other maintenance personnel with repairs, PMs, and rebuilds.
• Collaborate with other departments for proactive problem resolutions.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area.
• Manage small projects to upgrade or maintain equipment.

Position Summary

We have immediate need in our Shelbyville, KY plant for an experienced Maintenance Mechanic for 3rd Shift.

While reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for performing tasks necessary to provide high quality, efficient, timely shipment of Ventek products. Excellent attendance is crucial for the team to achieve success. You must have a proven record of success in a fast-paced environment. You must have the ability to work with various teams and be an effective problem solver. You will take pride in your personal hands-on and analytical abilities, organizational skills and attention to detail.

Day to day responsibilities include:

• Performing all duties in support of Ventek’s quality and safety policies.
• Installing and maintaining auxiliary equipment as required by production
• Maintaining and repairing utility and facility-related equipment as directed by the Plant Engineer.
• Assisting/training other maintenance personnel with repairs, PM’s, and rebuilds.
• Collaborating closely with other departments and teams for proactive problem resolutions.
• Maintaining a safe, clean and organized work area.
• Manage small projects to maintain or upgrade equipment.

This position is located in Shelbyville, KY. Candidates should be local, no relocation assistance is provided.

REQUIREMENTS

• We want you to have experience in an industrial environment, troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining and/or installing manufacturing equipment, including mechanical, pneumatic and/or hydraulic equipment.
• 3 years experience with PLC systems, preferably Allen Bradley 5000 series, Siemens, and Omron. Minimum (3) years industrial maintenance experience required.
• 2 years experience with Pneumatic and Hydraulic systems.
• Must be able to read and or understand written and verbal policy, instruction and directions in English.
• Must have 480 volt and 3 phase electric experience.
• We need you to have experience with PLC troubleshooting, industrial and motor controls.
• Ability to certify on Material handler including scissor lift and work at heights
• Must be able to kneel, bend and twist while working.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. throughout the shift.
• The position will require overtime as needed
• It would be a huge plus if you have machine shop/fabrication experience
• Working independently and managing multiple tasks simultaneously is needed.
