Job summary

KASAI NORTH AMERICA is seeking a Process Technician for the 2nd shift to oversee manufacturing processes, set up equipment, and troubleshoot to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency in the assigned area.

This role requires automotive manufacturing experience, ability to operate and maintain machinery, and basic computer skills. You will train new employees and support continuous improvement efforts with potential overtime and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Automotive manufacturing experience is required.
• Must be able to operate and troubleshoot machinery.
• Basic computer skills including Excel.

Responsibilities

• Oversee processes, equipment, maintenance, safety and housekeeping of the assigned area and ensure procedures and standards are met.
• Organize work for smooth operations, analyze problems, implement solutions and report issues to supervision.
• Process and troubleshoot all machines in the area, train new employees and assist other areas as needed.
• Support established rules, policies, and procedures; participate in scrap and cost reduction programs.
• May be required to work overtime and across shifts as needed.
• Able to travel on company business.

Process Technician

2nd Shift

Reports To:

Group Leader/Supervisor/Manager

Description:

Under the direction of the group leader, supervisor or manager the lead technician is responsible for the processing, setup and trouble shooting of the machines in their assigned work area. They are responsible for ensuring adherence to safety, quality, housekeeping, and company policies, procedures and standards.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for all processes, equipment, preventative maintenance, safety and housekeeping of the assigned work area and meeting established procedures and standards.
• Organizes work for smooth operations, analyze problems, implements solutions and reports process and equipment problems to the group leader, supervisor or manager.
• Responsible for processing and trouble shooting of all machines in their area, training techniques of new employees, and assisting other areas in trouble shooting and processing as required.
• Supports all established rules, regulations, polices, and procedures are followed.
• Supports affective scrap and cost reduction programs.
• Performs a variety of activities requiring communication and support to other employees.
• Must be able and capable to work any shift assigned and must be able to work overtime as required.
• Should be able to perform other jobs in assigned work area in case of employee absence or additional requirements.
• May be required to travel on company business.

Education:

• High School Education or GED

Experience:

• Automotive manufacturing a must

Skills:

Training specific to placement into position:

• Actively involved or completed Paulson training program not scoring less than 70% on any of the post test scores.

Other:

• Able to operate and troubleshoot the machinery, tools and equipment
• Able to lift loads of forty (40) pounds
• Basic computer (i.e. Excel)
