Job summary

Gemini Group, Inc. is seeking a Production Cell Setter to set up work cells, oversee operators, and ensure quality plastic parts meet production orders. You will guide the team and communicate clearly to ensure smooth shifts.

In this role you will promote safety, follow lockout procedures, maintain process stability, and document all steps. Expect active involvement in continuous improvement while maintaining the plant's 6-S standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up work cells to produce quality plastic parts and oversee assigned personnel.
• Promote safety awareness and enforce safety rules plant-wide.
• Follow lockout procedures on equipment and machines.
• Set up, maintain and produce quality parts while ensuring process stability.
• Complete part checks and maintain traceability for resin, colorant and components.
• Document production activities and complete required records.
• Sign off on production orders and coordinate breaks and line relief.
• Report issues to Production Supervisor related to performance or quality.
• Support Continuous Improvement initiatives and adhere to 6-S standards.

Job Summary

Set-up work cells to produce quality plastic parts to fill production orders; to oversee, inform and instruct as necessary, all production personnel assigned to the work cell.

Essential Job Functions

• Promotes safety awareness, educates, and enforces all safety rules throughout the plant with the goal set at zero plant related injuries


• Follow appropriate lockout procedures at all times on all equipment and machines.


• To set-up, maintain, and produce quality plastics parts for production lines and maintain process stability throughout the production run.


• Complete X and R charts and part check off sheet.


• Completing lot traceability for resin, colorant, and components in the MRC.


• Complete FPI’s and LPI’s as needed for Production Runs on Start-up and Shutdown of Machines.


• Perform production order sign-off. Properly perform breaks to relieve Operators as necessary. Communicate with co-workers who are relieving you at break time or at shift change and explain how to run the line and what to watch for.


• Report any issues to the Production Supervisor as needed, regarding issues with employee performance, bad parts, machine process, etc.


• Complete all necessary documentation.


• Support Continuous Improvement team activities as assigned.


• Follow all QMS and EMS policies, procedures and work instructions


• General Housekeeping: keep work area clean and organized at all times per the 6-S Standard.


• Complete part checks on the computers on the line you are assigned to.
