This role will be based in our Pineville, North Carolina plant, and report to the Process Supervisor.

Job Summary

The Process Technician will lead activities aimed at continuous improvement and optimization of process parameters, tooling, and equipment in the injection molding department. Responsibilities include ensuring safety, environmental standards, product quality, production efficiency, housekeeping, and cost control to meet plant goals.

Principal Responsibilities

1. Manage process improvement projects related to equipment, tooling, and procedures.
2. Provide technical training to machine operators in the molding department.
3. Inspect machines and equipment to ensure optimal performance and document process parameters electronically and on paper.
4. Maintain quality standards by adhering to the Approved Compounds/Components List, Quality Control Manual, and ISO procedures.
5. Test new tooling and equipment to evaluate process efficiency and results.
6. Identify, report, and follow up on maintenance issues using the work order system.
7. Assist in start-up and troubleshooting of process-related problems with production equipment and tooling.
8. Support the Production Manager in reviewing the master schedule for labor, machine utilization, and changeover activities.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

• Associate degree in Engineering or 3-5 years of equivalent work experience.
• Experience with PVC plastics.
• Knowledge of blending raw materials and the injection molding process and tooling.
• Proven track record in a continuous improvement manufacturing environment with ISO 9001 standards.
• Strong leadership, management, communication, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Proficiency with computers, including word processing and spreadsheets.
