Job summary

Plastipak Packaging, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform, monitor, and improve preventative maintenance on extrusion blow molding and related equipment. This role supports uninterrupted operations and continuous process improvements in a high-speed manufacturing environment in Alsip, IL.

The position offers night shift with a $1 per hour differential, overtime and vacation coverage. You will join a team committed to safety, quality, and cost-effective production, with

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience maintaining manufacturing equipment.
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics and electrical troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and interpret manuals, blueprints, and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance for extrusion blow molding and support machinery.
• Execute and improve preventative maintenance procedures.
• Participate in changeovers and ensure efficient execution.

Job description

Job Responsibilities

• You Will Perform maintenance for extrusion blow molding and support machinery to assure uninterrupted & optimal operations
• Execute & continuously improve preventative maintenance procedures
• Participate in changeovers, ensuring efficient & correct execution
• Repair & rebuilds spare parts
• Assure compliance with all safety protocols, quality standards, operational practices & procedures
• Expand your expertise through formal training & on-the-job experiences, including new equipment installation & equipment modification projects

Work Hours & Availability

Ability to work 3rd shift, along with overtime and vacation coverage as needed. Training is on 1st shift.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
• A minimum of three (3) years of experience maintaining manufacturing equipment.
• Experience with Graham Wheel, case packers, box machines is preferred.
• Solid hydraulics, pneumatics and electrical knowledge, along with the ability to troubleshoot & problem solve.
• Ability to interpret technical & operational documents, including manuals, blueprints, schematics.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work on aerial platforms up to 20 feet with or without reasonable accommodation.

You’ll Earn $33-$35 per hour , based on experience Night shift includes a shift differential of $1 per hour.
