Job summary

Apple is looking for an enthusiastic team member to work on next generation hardware technologies. The Process Manufacturing Technician will execute standardized manufacturing plans and support next generation R&D engineering work orders in the thin films module.

You will collaborate with module engineering teams, train technicians, manage materials, and ensure on-time delivery per MES dispatch, leveraging SPC and lab metrology expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or sciences.
• Minimum 5 years experience in pilot production/R&D cleanroom (Thin Film Deposition).
• Experience with lab metrology equipment.
• Experience with MES manufacturing systems and SPC.

Responsibilities

• Execute standardized work according to documented procedures.
• Support next generation technology development and/or foundry operations with engineering work orders.
• Collaborate with module engineering teams and provide continuous improvement feedback.
• Train other technicians and engineers as needed.
• Manage work area materials to avoid supply gaps.
• Prioritize deliveries per MES dispatch and maintain customer focus.

Description

The Process Manufacturing Technician will be responsible for executing to standardized manufacturing plans and procedures as well as supporting next generation R&D engineering work orders in the thin films module.

Key Responsibilities

• Execution of standardized work based on documented operating procedures
• Execution of engineering work orders in support of next generation technology development and/or foundry operations
• Work closely with module engineering teams, providing continuous improvement feedback to optimize localized processes and procedures
• Train other technicians and engineering team members as needed and attain the status of module area designated trainer
• Manage work area materials, ensuring no supply gaps
• Customer orientation, with primary focus on delivery commitments by consistently following MES job dispatch priorities

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering or sciences
• Process/Manufacturing technician experience in pilot production/R&D cleanroom environment (min 5 years Thin Film Deposition )
• Experience with lab metrology equipment
• Experience with manufacturing systems via MES including statistical process control (SPC)

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficient in running Physical Vapor Deposition Equipment
• Experience writing new standard operating procedures
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
