Job description

Overview

This position provides process sustaining support in an automated semiconductor production environment. Area of concentration could be any of the following: photolithography, wet processing, etch, thin films, diffusion, implantation, metrology, and/ or bond & grind. It involves working a 12‑hour day shift with a "3 on 4 off 4 on 3 off" alternating schedule.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Engineering team to develop and qualify new processes and new tool sets.
• Characterize, document, and possibly present data based on design of experiments (DOE).
• Report and document process issues and equipment malfunctions.
• Take corrective action and interact with Process Engineers & Equipment Maintenance to resolve non‑conformance in process and equipment operations.
• Handle material depositions and work to resolve lot issues that may arise.
• Assist in creating new procedures, refining existing ones, and maintaining the reticle inventory system.
• Collaborate to achieve quarterly set yield and cycle time goals.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electronics Engineering Technology (EET) or Mechanical Engineering Technology (MET).
• Also considered: a degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent experience within a semiconductor environment.
• Understanding of and ability to handle structured problem‑solving 5Y and 8Ds.
• Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Access.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, sit, or move around assigned work location without limitation for extended periods (up to 11 hours).
• Experience using hands to operate machinery and/or assemble product.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. to chest height.
• Comfortable wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) such as lightweight cleanroom suit, eye protection, gloves, etc.
• Ability to work in repetitive motions and pressure involving fingers, hands, and wrists; includes standing or walking over hard concrete surface and climbing ladders.
• May require additional duties/assignments as designated by management.

Compensation

Compensation Range: $18.06 - $32.32 per hour.
