Job summary

Halocarbon, LLC in North Augusta, SC seeks a Process Safety Specialist to strengthen and lead the facility's PSM program. You will collaborate with engineering and operations to drive safety, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement across processes.

The role focuses on PHAs/HAZOPs, MOC enhancements, PSI maintenance, and incident investigations to prevent recurrence and protect personnel and assets. A hands-on, collaborative, results-driven approach is required.

Qualifications

• Experience with Process Safety Management (PSM) programs in chemical environments.
• Knowledge of OSHA PSM requirements and PHAs/HAZOPs.
• Experience implementing or improving MOC processes.
• Experience leading incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Strong understanding of applicable safety regulations and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the facility's PSM program.
• Facilitate PHAs/HAZOPs and ensure action items are addressed.
• Strengthen MOC processes and ensure changes are evaluated and documented.
• Maintain PSI and operating procedures; support OSHA PSM and EPA RMP compliance.
• Lead or participate in incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, maintenance, and EHS teams on risk controls.
• Provide guidance on chemical handling, including HF and other process hazards.
