Job summary

IFF is seeking a Process Safety professional to advance our global safety program from Philadelphia on site. You will lead MOC, coordinate PHAs, and ensure PSM compliance across operations while supporting audits and continuous improvement.

You will develop and maintain PSM documentation, deliver training, conduct incident investigations, and oversee Mechanical Integrity and PSSR programs to safeguard equipment and people. Strong collaboration across functions is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Health & Safety, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience supporting Process Safety Management programs in a chemical manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA PSM (29 CFR 1910.119) and EPA Risk Management Plan (RMP).
• Experience facilitating risk assessments, hazard analyses, and process safety reviews.
• Knowledge of Mechanical Integrity, Management of Change, Incident Investigation, and PHA methodologies.
• Strong project management and communication skills.
• Ability to interpret P&IDs, process flow diagrams, engineering drawings, and technical documentation.
• Demonstrated commitment to driving a proactive safety culture and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Management of Change (MOC) process, ensuring proper documentation and risk evaluation
• Coordinate Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs) and track action items through completion
• Ensure PSM program compliance and maintain audit readiness at all times
• Support and lead internal and external safety audits, resolving findings promptly
• Develop, maintain, and improve PSM documentation, procedures, and training materials
• Conduct employee training sessions on process safety practices and program updates
• Lead incident investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective action implementation
• Oversee Mechanical Integrity programs to ensure regulatory compliance
• Conduct Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR) for new and modified equipment
