Job summary

IFF is seeking a Process Safety Management professional based in Philadelphia, onsite. You will lead the MOC process, coordinate PHAs, and ensure OSHA PSM and EPA RMP compliance while supporting audits and safety improvements.

The role requires 3–5 years of PSM experience in a chemical manufacturing environment, strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, and excellent cross-functional collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Health & Safety or related.
• 3–5 years’ experience in Process Safety Management in chemical manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA PSM (29 CFR 1910.119) and EPA RMP requirements.
• Experience facilitating risk assessments and hazard analyses.
• Ability to interpret P&IDs and engineering drawings.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration.
• Proactive safety culture and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Management of Change (MOC) process with documentation and risk evaluation.
• Coordinate Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs) and track action items to completion.
• Ensure PSM program compliance and audit readiness.
• Support internal and external safety audits and resolve findings.
• Develop and improve PSM procedures, documentation, and training materials.
• Deliver training on process safety requirements and best practices.
• Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Oversee Mechanical Integrity programs for compliance.
• Conduct Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR) for new installations and modifications.
