Job summary

Clark Davis Associates is seeking a Process Safety Engineer to manage and improve Process Safety Management programs in a manufacturing environment.

You will lead risk assessments, coordinate PHAs, maintain OSHA PSM and EPA RMP compliance, conduct incident investigations, and partner with cross-functional teams to reduce process risks.

This on-site role works closely with engineering, operations, maintenance and EHS to drive safety improvements across facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, EHS, Safety Engineering, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in Process Safety Management within chemical manufacturing or similar.
• Knowledge of OSHA PSM (29 CFR 1910.119) and EPA Risk Management Plan (RMP) regulations.
• Experience with hazard assessments, audits, and safety improvement initiatives.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, process flow diagrams, and engineering documents.

Responsibilities

• Manage the MOC process with risk reviews and documentation.
• Coordinate PHAs and track corrective actions to completion.
• Maintain OSHA PSM and EPA RMP compliance requirements.
• Support safety audits, inspections, and regulatory readiness activities.
• Develop and maintain PSM procedures, training materials, and documentation.
• Conduct process safety training and communicate safety improvements.
• Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses.
• Support Mechanical Integrity programs and equipment compliance efforts.
• Perform PSSR for new and modified equipment.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, maintenance, and EHS teams to identify and mitigate process hazards.
