Job summary

Audubon is seeking a Process Safety Associate III in Houston, TX to provide consulting in Process Safety, including PSM, for oil, gas, petrochemical and refining projects. You will lead PHA studies, advise on regulations, and perform field inspections at client sites.

Requires a Bachelor’s in Engineering, PHA/LOPA training, and extensive experience with PHA studies; ABET accreditation and PE certification are preferred. Travel and proposal support are expected as part of this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required.
• ABET Accredited Institution preferred.
• HBachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or Fire Protection & Safety preferred.
• Professional Engineering Certification Preferred.
• HAZOP/LOPA Facilitator Training required.
• 10+ years industry experience preferred, including leadership of at least 10 PHA studies.
• Experience with PHA Pro software strongly preferred. ABS Leader a plus.
• Working knowledge of codes and Process Safety Regulations preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, including public speaking to groups.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate/lead PHA meetings, including HAZOP/LOPA and reporting.
• Provide information and advice on Process Safety regulations to clients.
• Analyze engineering documents to identify hazards and mitigate them.
• Travel to customer sites for field inspections as needed.
• Assist in business development and technical proposals for Process Safety Group.
• Interact with clients, subcontractors, vendors and consultants.
• Adhere to quality standards and engineering procedures.
• Comply with HSSE standards and regulations.
• Provide PSM/RMP Compliance Auditing and risk assessments.
• Provide safety engineering advice for risk assessments and fire protection design.
