Job summary

INEOS Olefins & Polymers USA is seeking a Process Safety Engineer for the Chocolate Bayou site (Alvin, TX) with hybrid work options. You will drive OSHA PSM and EPA RMP compliance, lead PHA/LOPA activities, and mentor teams in risk reduction initiatives across the facility.

The role requires a chemical/environmental/mechanical engineering background, 5+ years in petrochemicals, and strong governance in process safety management and incident prevention.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Environmental or Mechanical engineering.
• Minimum 5 years in petrochemical industry with PSM delivery.
• Experience facilitating PHA/LOPA and MOC risk reviews.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA PSM 1910.119 and EPA RMP 40 CFR 68.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support PSM/RMP compliance at Chocolate Bayou site.
• Develop and sustain site policies for PSM and RMP elements.
• Manage PHA/LOPA studies and risk evaluations with timely closure.
• Train personnel and supervise MOC, PSSR and related processes.
• Provide technical PSIM guidance and engage with PSIM Advisor.
