Job summary

Strategic Storage Partners, LLC (SSP) seeks a seasoned Process Safety Engineer to administer the PHA program and ensure OSHA compliance for SPR facilities in Louisiana. You will lead PHA studies, analyze designs for PSM impact, and coordinate MOC/PSSR activities across sites.

The role requires hands-on PHA/HAZOP facilitation, strong written and oral communication, and experience with process safety information management and hazard analysis tools. Travel to storage sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or technical field with demonstrated process safety experience.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in chemical or petroleum industries in process engineering/process safety management under OSHA 29 CFR 1910.119.
• Hands-on experience facilitating PSM-related activities such as PHAs and HAZOPs.

Responsibilities

• Administers the PHA program per OSHA 29 CFR 1910.119 requirements.
• Prepares, facilitates, and documents PHA studies using HAZOP and LOPA methodologies.
• Coordinates and audits PSM programs and implements improvement solutions.
• Supports MOC and PSSR processes, reviews changes and startup readiness.
• Performs safety analyses and reviews P&IDs, equipment specs, and operating envelopes.
• Maintains process safety information, hazard registers, and program metrics.
