Job summary

ABB is seeking a Process Quality Specialist to enhance customer satisfaction by resolving complaints, analyzing defects, and delivering actionable quality improvements for data center power products. You’ll lead CTQ parameterization, Q-gates, and cross-functional collaboration during audits and FAT activities.

You will monitor First Pass Yield, perform root-cause analyses, and implement corrective actions to reduce defects and improve efficiency across PDU, STS, and UPS components.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Mechanical/Industrial/Electrical Engineering or related field with 2+ years of experience.
• Proficient in quality tools (FMEA, 7 QC tools, 5S, 5Why, Kaizen, Poka-Yoke, SPC, DMAIC & 8D Root cause analysis).
• Familiar with standards UL1561, NEMA ST-20, IEEE C57.12.01/91, DOE 2016, UL891, CSA C22.2 for compliance and reliability.
• Lean, Six Sigma and other process improvement methodologies desirable.
• Candidates must have work authorization to work in the US.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Quality Plans, Control Plans, and inspection checklists, deriving CTQ parameters and Q-gates.
• Monitor First Pass Yield and drive improvements in quality and production efficiency.
• Analyze customer complaints, determine root causes, implement corrective actions, and coordinate audits (FAT, UL/CSA/ISO).
• Perform COPQ analyses to identify cost-saving opportunities and map processes for automation improvements.
