Job summary

ABB is seeking a Process Quality Electronics Engineer in the United States to deploy the quality strategy within a local unit and to drive prevention, robust root cause analysis, and sustainable improvements. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve world-class performance and ensure customer satisfaction across manufacturing processes.

You will analyze defective electronics components, develop testing equipment, map processes for improvements, and train users on new methods,

Qualifications

• Bachelor in Electronics Engineering with minimum 2 years of experience.
• Ability to read schematics of electrical equipment and PCBAs.
• Proficient in using electrical test equipment: power supplies, multimeters, oscilloscopes and power analyzers.
• Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Analyze defective electronics components returned from customer sites and inhouse rejections and take corrective action.
• Develop new testing equipment in coordination with cross-functional teams to test electronic components.
• Map current manufacturing processes and identify areas for improvement through automation.
• Focus on continuous improvement by applying lean manufacturing principles.
• Provide training and support to users on new processes.
• Keep track of emerging technologies and industry trends and recommend innovative solutions.
