Job summary

ABB in Richmond, VA is seeking a Customer Electrical Quality Specialist (Engineer) to resolve customer complaints, analyze defects, and provide actionable solutions for PDU, STS, and UPS products used in data centers.

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in Electrical or Electronics engineering or related discipline; minimum 2 years in manufacturing or quality control.
Hands-on experience with transformers, PDUs, STSs, and UPS products; testing and servicing electrical distribution and control systems.
Ability to read schematics of electrical equipment and PCBAs; familiarity with test equipment like power supplies, multimeters.

Responsibilities

Resolve customer complaints and analyze defects using 8D/Analysis reports.
Visit customer sites to provide technical support and gather product performance insights.
Lead continuous improvement projects to enhance product quality and efficiency.
Ensure adherence to electrical safety standards; collaborate with field service teams and process quality engineers.
