Job summary

Rolls-Royce Power Systems in the United States (Aiken, SC) is seeking a Quality Control Engineer at Grade 9 level. This full-time role involves leading quality objectives across production, implementing robust inspection plans, and driving process improvements in a demanding manufacturing environment.

You will analyze data, apply PDCA and 8D methodologies, coordinate with procurement for gauges, and report findings to management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Quality/Mechanical/Industrial engineering with 3 years of quality/manufacturing experience; OR 7 years in related roles.
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Role operates in a manufacturing/office setting with a compressed four 10-hour day schedule.

Responsibilities

• Develop, coordinate, and implement quality objectives to resolve production problems and maximize reliability.
• Respond to line calls with corrective action using PDCA, 5 Whys, 8D, and A3 tools.
• Perform root-cause analysis to define long-range corrective measures aligned with corporate objectives.
• Provide timely data to management on quality concerns and track process improvements.
